Kaiserslautern → Groningen

I am currently in the process of moving from the University of Kaiserslautern (Germany) to the University of Groningen (Netherlands) from which I have received an offer for a permanent position as Associate Professor for Systems and Control within the Johann Bernoulli Institute for Mathematics and Computer Science. I will start in Groningen in November and as soon as I have a website with my new contact details, I will update my About Me page. My uni-kl-email-address will be valid until March 2018, so you can still reach me with the old email-address for a while.

The first five years in Groningen will actually be paid by my Vidi-grant which I obtained for my project proposal entitled “Analysis and Control of Switched Differential Algebraic Equations”. In the near future I will add a project page with more details about this project. To get a first idea, see the public summary in the list of Vidi Awards 2016, the corresponding press release of the University of Groningen, or the press release of the Faculty of Science and Engineering.

was finalist for the IFAC Congress Interactive Paper Prize! After the original certificate had some typos we now have received a corrected version:

Welcome

My name is Stephan Trenn and I am researcher in the area of applied mathematics, for more informations see the About Me page. You may also want to browse my publications, which can be filtered e.g. by keywords and coauthors. I also have profiles at Google ScholarResearchGate and ORCID.

Below, I will regularly post  news related to my research.

Finally, my Erdös number (see also here) is 4.

CDC 2017 final preprints online

For the CDC 2017 in Melbourne my coauthors and I have submitted four papers which were all accepted for publication. We have now prepared the final versions and I have uploaded the preprints:

The publications are also listed on my Publications site or on the subsite Conferences. I will be in Melbourne myself and I am looking forward to interesting discussions about our results.

Conference publication list online

A list of all my conference papers is online now. However, I haven’t added the links to the preprints yet, some abstracts and some (doi) links to the original-article are missing and I also haven’t added tags yet. I will do this in the next few days.

[Update] All preprints, abstracts, missing links and tags are added now.

New research website launched

Due to my forthcoming appointment at the University of Groningen in the NETHERLANDS, my current research homepage domain with a top-level-domain “de” seems inappropriate and I decided to use the more neutral top-level-domain “net”. I will use this transition to relaunch my research website in a new design. It will take some time until I have transferred all my content and I will post the status of my migration here.
